Dr Ee-May Chia is a highly skilled and experienced cardiologist who has a strong educational background in cardiology and cardiac imaging. She graduated from the University of New South Wales and completed her post-graduate training at the cardiac unit in Westmead Hospital in NSW.
After completing her training, Dr Chia pursued further specialisation in cardiac imaging, completing fellowship training under the guidance of Dr Dominic Leong and Prof Liza Thomas, two of the eminent cardiac imaging specialists in Australia. During this time, Dr Chia gained subspecialist expertise in stress echocardiography, transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography.
To further hone her skills, Dr Chia completed a fellowship in cardiac MRI in England, where she gained further exposure to the latest techniques and advancements in cardiac imaging.
Dr Chia's dedication to education is evident in her role as an active member of the medical community in St George Hospital. She is involved in teaching and mentoring students, junior medical officers, and cardiology trainees, sharing her expertise and knowledge to help guide the next generation of cardiologists.
